Michael Johnston – Director of Operations
Michael Johnston is a 2014 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) with a bachelor’s degree in communications and serves as Director of Operations for ASPIRE Sports Institute. Prior to ASPIRE he worked for the National Center for Sports Safety (NCSS) with the role of marketing & operations support, then later promoted to Director of Operations in August of 2016. At NCSS he was responsible for the PREPARE sports safety course (online & live classes), coordinated and assisted with yearly fundraising events, provided direct administrative support to the executive director, and day to day website maintenance. His passion is sports and that includes everything from major sports like basketball, hockey, and football to the smaller sports such as archery, disc golf, and chess. He loves being around youth sports and especially watching his youngest brother participate in miracle league baseball.
