Safe Sport Venue

We are excited to announce our Safe Sport Venue Program.  This initiative will assist sports venues in being PREPARED for all major aspects of sports safety. 

Our goals are to improve and prioritize health and safety for athletic participants and spectators at your facility’s sports venues and promote an organization-wide culture of health and safety through proactive safeguards and training of personnel.

Sports venues must meet requirements related to:

•  developing emergency plans for all sports venues

• implementing standardized communication methods

• training for sports personnel

• training for venue administrators and staff

• training for EMS personnel

Upon completion of the requirements, your city will be awarded the National Center for Sports Safety (NCSS) Safe Sport Venue Award. The purpose of this achievement is to enhance the overall health and safety of athletic participants and spectators organization-wide. 

We look forward to assisting your sports venue with resources and training to promote and encourage a venue-wide culture for sports safety.

Complete the NCSS Safe Sport Venue Assessment  to assess the needs within your city.
