Athletic Trainers

What is an Athletic Trainer?

Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) are healthcare professionals who specialize in the management, prevention, and recovery of injured athletes. ATCs work under the direction of a physician in order to manage and collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the care of athletes. Athletic Trainers play an integral role in the healthcare team and provide coverage for high schools, colleges and universities, professional sports programs, sports medicine clinics, corporate/industrial, and other healthcare settings. To learn more about how your city or program can utilize ATCs contact Ellen at egarrett@aspirebhm.org.
